Last night, after an incredibly emotional, ‘Rocky’-esque episode of MTV’s ‘Caged’, cage figher Daniel Payne from the show tweeted lyrics to my song ‘All You Got’.
I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw it.  Daniel’s story is that he lost his longtime girlfriend Hannah a few years ago.  He fights in her honor, and on the show, it is apparent that Daniel is a soft-spoken guy with a level head and a killer jab.  Last night’s episode showed Daniel winning a fight on the anniversary of Hannah’s death…it was a beautiful moment.
I tweeted back at Daniel to thank him, and I found out that he is a big Kidd Kraddick fan.  He heard my song on Kidd’s show, because it is the Kidd’s Kids song for this year.  He uses the song and lyrics as inspiration for fighting.
This was one of those moments when I realized how thankful I am to be able to do music for a living…to think that lyrics can inspire people from all different walks of life is incredible.  Everyone follow Daniel and show your support.  #GoldenBoySwag!
