Please reblog if ya dig, thanks friends!
I’m loving Ed Sheeran’s music and I wanted to cover one of his songs in a raw, emotional way. I thought ‘Give Me Love’ was perfect. Thanks to Clark Nowlin on Acoustic Guitar and vocal hamonies.

We only had 15 minutes together, so we jammed out to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’. It was the first ever collaboration between all three singing reality shows. Pretty cool…hope you enjoy it!
The Valentine’s Day Song - Tim Halperin and Hayley Orrantia - ‘Nothing Can Keep Us Apart’
Thanks so much to everyone who entered ‘The Valentines Day Song Competition’. There were a ton of entries this year, and each story was awesome and unique. The winner is Sheridan, who just got married, and her husband Tim is going overseas to serve our country. Her story is below.
He was my first (and only) boyfriend and to be honest, I didn’t know how to be a girlfriend. I was really bad at the whole affection thing and luckily he was patient with me. The summer of 2004 we spent together and became inseparable. Within 6 months of dating, I knew I loved him and I knew one day I’d marry him (yes, I was only 15 and knew he was the one for me.) We grew close quickly and fell in love slowly but surely. 3 years passed and my parents decided after I graduated from high school in 2007, that they’d be moving to a suburb outside of Dallas, TX called Frisco. With Tim’s encouragement and reassurance that I would be taken care of, I decided to stay in Sacramento and at age 17, I moved out of my parents’ house and they moved to Texas. Saying goodbye to my parents at such a young age was extremely difficult but I did it because I knew I wanted to be with Tim and I knew one day he would be my husband.
I enrolled in community college full-time and worked part-time to try to make enough money to pay my bills and be self-sufficient. I lasted 2 years on my own and in the summer of 2009, Tim and I took our relationship to the next level and moved in together. He was working for the state of California and attending California State University Sacramento but decided what he really wanted to do was follow his dream and serve our country. He put everything on hold and with my full support (I even went with him to see his recruiter and saw him swear in!), he enlisted in the United States Navy. I was heartbroken but so proud of him for chasing his dream and wanting to serve our wonderful country and backed his decision 100%. Within 2 weeks of enlisting in the Navy and still 6 months away from going to bootcamp, he, on a bended knee and eyes full of tears asked me to marry him. I was SO shocked. Although 2.5 years have passed since that day, I still get teary telling people the story. He made me close my eyes because he had a gift to give me (this was usual gift giving practice for Tim.) I opened my eyes when he told me to and there he was smiling at me unable to speak. I gasped and threw my hands over my mouth (just like in the movies) and he said, “Sheridan, I love you and I want you to be my wife so I can spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” At that moment, I knew what being speechless meant. I literally could not speak! After a few moments of silence he said, “so..yes?” and I said “yes, Tim! I’d love to marry you,” and he put the beautiful ring on my finger and we hugged and cried and began the rounds of phone calls to tell everyone we were engaged.
We spent the next 5 months planning our wedding and on March 28, 2010, after nearly 6 years of dating, I married the man I told my best friend I would marry when I was only 15. He left for 2 months of bootcamp the following month and we moved from our hometown in Sacramento to Monterey, CA for him to learn his job in the Navy. We were there 8 months and got stationed in San Antonio, TX in April of 2011. Here in San Antonio, I stay busy and attend the University of Texas at San Antonio full-time and work as a server at a restaurant on base part-time. Soon, he will be deploying and this is the last holiday we will get to spend together until he returns next March. Being able to take a song with him that somebody so talented wrote about us would be incredible and would help keep me sane while he’s away for so long. Please consider our story and feel free to fluff it up if need be! Thank you so much.
One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
So I heard this song a few times on XM Radio and it’s cool…but I’m just now realizing how big these guys are and where they came from (X Factor UK). Very interesting…I’m seeing a trend with bands like this (ex. Big Time Rush).
Are boy bands coming back? Will some One Direction or Big Time Rush fans fill me in on why they like these guys so much? I like their tunes…I’m just curious…
